
Sharjah customs has recently concluded an advanced course on training the trainers. The course lasted for 15 days and the trainees have successfully managed to pass the course by attending theoretical and practical lessons on how to be a trainer.
On the conclusion day, Engineer Rashid Al Leem, Director General of
Sharjah Customs, Director General of Hamriyah Free Zone, said; “Train the
Trainers Course is another specific
addition to improve the skills of the staff and it came within the course of
the Department of Seaports and Customs. This session, which is an advanced course to train the trainers is aiming at
acquiring technical training skills for the trainers in order to become trainers
in their field of specialization .It is one of long chain programme of courses
laid up by the Department for this
year”.
“ The fast developing technologies
requires us to follow up the latest changes which we are seeing in all aspects
of the life and hence training is very essential topic to improve the
efficiency of our staff by acquiring the knowledge most modern practical and
technical applications”, he added.
Al Leem
thanked the trainees for their enthusiasm and conducting the course
successfully and thanked the trainers; Adjunct Associate Professor Alan Murray,
Australian Centre for Customs and Excise Studies(CCES)- University of Canberra,
with the assistant of Jamal Madant and
Mohammed Zal Al Kherisat from the Jordanian Customs.
The course followed the recommended World
Customs Organization’s approved Train-the-Trainers course material.
The
participants, mostly customs were various specializations and from different
Customs sections and Centres.
